Located in the heart of Duluth, Kostas Gyros is a must-visit spot for gyro enthusiasts. Known for its swift service and reasonable prices, this restaurant offers a taste of authentic Greek cuisine, albeit with a few modern twists. Customers like Maxim Kroll praise the freshness of the ingredients, particularly the lamb, though he notes the tzatziki sauce could benefit from a touch more dill. Scott Lundberg humorously describes his love for Kostas, showcasing the brand's charm and connection to its patrons.
Isaac Giron, a former gyro restaurateur, commends the welcoming atmosphere and quality of the dishes, declaring it among the best gyros he's ever had. Meanwhile, Gerick Engle fondly remembers enjoying a gyro with a cold lager at Bent Paddle, illustrating Kostas’ appeal for a casual yet satisfying meal. JP Rennquist highlights the made-to-order freshness of the food, even if the atmosphere is plain. The clean environment and hospitable service, he remarks, make it worth the visit.
Overall, Kostas Gyros captures the essence of fast-casual dining with a personal touch. It’s a charming spot where you can indulge in delicious Greek flavors, making it a great recommendation for anyone in or around Duluth.

One of the only north shore places with gyros. Service is fast, prices are reasonable, about 10 a person. Lamb is very good, all the ingredients are very fresh. It lacks slightly as a true authentic gyro, the tzatziki sauce lacks some dill in cucumber. Other drawback is limited options for the gyro toppings, only tomatoes and onions are available. Overall, definitely recommended and if you are craving a gyro it's a great spot.

Some men try and seduce their wives with expensive gifts or dates. Not me good people. I arrive with Kostas and safety glasses. Because when I show up with Kostas she lets me do ANYTHING I want. As I slide my long legs deep into my bib overalls and penetrate the darkest of pockets with tools and dare I say sharpie, I thank Kostas and the Almighty for some me time in my shop. Part Deaux: I'm doubling down and aiming for some good....hard.... acceptance of the fact that I am going to buy some rather large shop tools. I think she can take it all.

The ladies that work the stand were absolutely incredible. They were friendly and inviting, and their food clearly shows that. I ran several Gyro restaurants in the Twin Cities and I can hands-down tell you this is one of the best gyros I’ve ever had. I appreciate the small brand that is doing excellent work go check them out!

My wife's favorite spot back in her college days, now we can't leave Duluth without a family pack. I recommend grabbing a hot gyro and eating it at Bent Paddle with a crisp lager.

The food and friendly service at Kosta's has made it legendary over the generations. The food is literally made to order while you wait. So it can take maybe 10 minutes or so for the special which is two gryos and an order of fries or onion rings. So if you only have 30 minutes for lunch you may wish to plan around that. The advantage is that your food is extremely fresh. I usually order extra sauce but you almost don't need t since they give you a lot as it is. I am not Greek American so I cannot comment on authenticity of the food but I love it. I can comment on authenticity of the service and hospitality which is always warm and matter-of-fact, even when they are busy. The drinks in the cooler are ice cold and I love an ice cold Coca-Cola in a can for this sort of meal. I gave only 3 stars for the atmosphere. It is immaculately clean. They have an innocuous news channel on from somewhere in Wisconsin that is mildly amusing. But it is definitely not a place where many folks would be thinking about for atmosphere. An exception is that very often nearby construction workers stop in and may choose to eat in rather than take out their food. The bathroom is ok. You need a key code to use it and it is functional and clean but a little beat up. They share it with other businesses in the building. If folks were on the road and wanted a stretch break or local folks wanted to have a quick business meeting it would be an ok place for that. The food and service are what is going to impress anyone. Not the atmosphere. After the last time I was there someone remarked that they wished I had brought back some Kosta's for them.

Best Gyros and Salads in America, ive eaten at hundreds of Gyro places in the world and they by far have the best. From the Take no shit attitude all great Greeks have to the food. No cheese, no mushroom, no chicago style. Just good food.
